BY CAR
to Cinque Terre
The car access to the 5 Lands is higly discouraged in the period May - October and during holidays. The access roads to the villages are narrow and very winding and the parking lots are very limited. From La Spezia you can reach all Cinque Terre with the provincial road 370 Litoranea delle Cinque Terre (SP 370) to Manarola and the provincial road 51 "dei Santuari" for the other villages. After the first tunnel, the road offers enchanting views of the Cinque Terre Park coastline
to Portovenere
Portovenere is about 12 km from La Spezia. It can be reached along the provincial road 530 of Portovenere (SP 530) called Napoleonica because it was built by Napoleone Bonaparte in 1812. In periods of high tourist influx it is very difficult to find parking in the village. At the beginning of the descent that leads to Portovenere, where the road becomes one-way, there is a large parking lot (for a fee) connected by shuttle bus. The name of the parking is IL CAVO (GPS 44.060814, 9.844211).
to Lerici e Tellaro
Lerici is about 12 km from La Spezia. It can be reached by taking the provincial road 331 of Lerici (SP 331). For some years it has been possible to use the highway, a variant of the old provincial road, which connects the capital to Lerici, through two long tunnels connected to the La Spezia - Porto Est motorway junction. In the summer period Lerici is not accessible by car (ZTL). The usable parking is LA VALLATA (GPS 44.082526, 9.910672).
Tellaro can be reached by car from Lerici with the provincial road 26. After about 4 km, after Fiascherino you will reach the roundabout of Tellaro, where on the right you enter the Z.T.L. , while to the left, slightly uphill are the paid parking lots for non-residents, both on the right side and at the end of the road in the parking lot in front of the cemetery.
