Castè is a small and ancient Liguria hamlet among the woods behind the Cinque Terre National Park in the municipality of Riccò del Golfo. The village was almost completely abandoned in the 60s, when the families chose the more comfortable and easier city life. In the last 15 years a group people fallen in love with the village have been working for its rebirth reconstituting a place where tourism is intertwined with slow life, culture, nature and conviviality. Its ancient history is linked to the Podesteria of Carpena, the first administrative entity of La Spezia territory whose castle has been destroyed in 1412 by the Genoese Republic troops conducted by Anthony Doria..
